Ryozenji

About This Hike

Ryozenji is the first temple of the Shikoku 88 Temples Challenge, located on Jikuwazan in Naruto City. This temple dates back to the 8th century and is the traditional starting point of the pilgrimage. The hike to reach it is about 1.3 km and takes less than an hour. We recommend this hike because it sets the tone for the journey and is popular among pilgrims beginning their adventure.
