About This Hike
Iwayaji, located on Kaiganzan in Kumakogen, is one of the most dramatic temples on the route. It’s built into a rocky cliff and feels like a sacred cave. The hike is steep, around 7 km and 3–4 hours. We recommend this hike for its adventurous route and stunning mountain views.
